TAST DokuWiki

TAST DokuWiki aims to be a complete guide of the TAST tool (Test Automation System Tool).

Presentation

TAST (Test Automation System Tool) is a software solution for a Full testing Automation in a simple and efficient way.

The TAST Solution proposes a four steps roadmap from the Conceptual stage to the final Test results:

  • First, the Logical design of the test cases based on UML diagrams http://www.uml.org/.
  • Second, the Mapping between the Logical UML Model vs. the real applications we will test.
  • Third, the Test Case Data Supply we will use during the test executions.
  • Fourth, the Execution of the Set of test cases with its Results, Traces and Pieces of evidence, indicating whether a result is true or valid.

TAST has two main components:

  • a simple Front web Interface, built on modern standards.
  • a set of Backend Adaptors, for its use in the Mapping and Execution steps (Web Adaptors, Database Adaptors, File Adaptors, Host Adaptors and so on).

TAST allows for much more than single executions of tests. Actually, with TAST is possible the execution of real End to End and Multiplatform Test Cases with the use of several adaptors in a single Test Case.

TAST has analyzed, designed, developed, deployed and managed through the use of Agile Methodologies as Scrum https://www.scrum.org/ or Devopshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DevOps.

Therefore, TAST is extensible and adaptable for the particular needs of any client and his environment specifications. Summing up, the Installation and configuration of TAST, is in general terms very simple.
