Training in the TAST tool
This option of the TAST tool allows the administrator to define domains and projects, also includes the assignment of projects to users.
Every test case created with TAST needs to be stored under a Domain/Project/Folder/TestCase structure. In order to work this structure, the user can create (if allowed by user permissions) as many domains and projects as needed. The process to do that is quite simple:
For every user, to be able to see the domains and projects they need to be assigned to the project that wants to have access to. This is done in the path Customize/Projects&Users. Once in this page, in the upper-right corner, there is a button for adding users to project. The steps are as follows:
This can be only done by specific roles (for example, administrator). Please notice that, unless the project is attached to the user, it will not be visible nor modifiable by the user.
The screen to manage domains and projects (shown above) allows:
- Create a new domain (// New domain // option).
- Create a new project (// New project // option).
- Edit a domain (pencil icon) and modify it (diskette icon).
- Delete a domain, using the bin icon.
- Edit a project (pencil icon) and modify it (diskette icon).
- Delete a project, using the bin icon.
